ETHIOPIA
ETHIOPIA is reputed to be the oldest civilization on record, more than 5 million years. It has been referred to as The Cradle of Civilization. Formerly known as Abyssinia, it is also the oldest independent country in Africa. Architectural sites date back 2.6 million years. A safe haven for religious worship, the country has been the home ground for the world’s major faiths, Christian, Judaic and Moslem. In the 20th century Emperor Haile Selessie brought this
country to the world stage.
If you haven’t been there and are in the New York area through the first week in November go see “LUCY,” at the new Discovery Channel showcase in Times Square.

Learn about what make’s this country a “must see.” Rock hewn churches, myriad lakes and rivers, ancient customs and traditions, medieval castles and wildlife terrain.
