Hampton Classic Horse Show
The 39th annual Hampton Classic Horse Show ends up this weekend in Bridgehampton, New York/ www.hamptonclassic.com/ 631-537.3177. On a 60 acre spread with riders both from professional ranks and amateur, including a number of Olympic medalists, this is Long Island’s premier showcase for the horsey set. The event closes on Sunday, August 31.This eight day event ( August 24-31 ) holds six rings and a lush Boutique Garden hosted by more than 70 vendors.The winner of this program will earn his/ or her strips as the Grand Prix and FEI World Qualifier, and an entry to the World Cup Finals in Las Vegas, NV, next April. The Grand Prix is part of the Taylor Harris Triple Crown Challenge which offers a $200,000 bonus to the winner of the $100,000 Grand Prix of Devon, a $250,000 Hampton Classic Grand Prix prize presented by Landrover USA and a $250,000 National Horse Show prize. The highest point scorer at this event earns an additional $30,000 from Longines’ Rider Challenge Grand Prix series.You can view Sunday’s event on
