Discover MACEDONIA presents an ancient settlement in the Baltic peninsula located in Southeast Europe. It’s roots are Thraco-Illyrian. Its capital Skopie is the country’s largest city holding a quarter of the country’s population of 2.3 million. The Republic of Macedonia measures approx. 25,000 sq.mi. The majority of its residents are ethnic Macedonians, a South Slavic people. Once part of Yugoslavia, it became independent in 1991.

Columbia Univ. He has recorded for American Classics, Deutsch Grammaphone, Sono, Dorian, Innova,
et.al. In New York he has recently appeared on WQXR-NPR. He is a recipient of the Eubie Blake Honors Award, with citations from both the National Chamber Music Competition, the National Clarinet Competition in Macedonia and the annual “Virtuoso” Award in Macedonia. Vasko holds a BA and MA from Julliard School of Music.
