Statue Cruises to the Statue of Liberty
STATUE CRUISES’ evening tours is a new venue this Summer in New York Harbour. The calendar starts on seven Thursday nights beginning June 10, and continues on July 8, July 15, July 22, August 5, August 12 and August 19. 1200 tickets will be made available for each of these night tours. The ticket is $35 pp, $28 for seniors, $25 for children and $7.50 for NPS Junior Rangers. The cost includes a full dinner menu at the site, along with a varied BBQ selection. Dessert is part of the deal.
There are two departures from Battery Park with a 5 PM check-in.
7:30 PM and 8:30 PM are the return times. The Statue of Liberty is maintained by the National Park Service,which is part of the U.S. Department of the Interior. The ferries that take you there are the property of Hornblower Corp. of San Francisco, CA., perhaps the nation’s largest short-line leisure cruise providers. They’re partnering with Komen Greater NYC to help fight breast cancer with their revenue stream this Summer from these cruises. And on Sunday, September 12 they will also sponsor the 20th anniversary of the Komen NYC Race for the Cure. Over 25,000 are expected to participate in a 5K walk/ run in Central Park, New York.
