Milano 2015 Expo
Milano 2015 Expo was announced Monday, the 28th in New York at Agencia Nationale Del Turismo (ENIT ), the Italian Travel office under the direction of Mr. Eugenio Magnani, the agency’s National Director and by Piero Galli, the fair’s General Manager.
According to Mr.Galli, the fair will run for six months, from May 1-through Oct.31, 2015. The theme will be one of “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life.” It will offer visitors a “veritable journey around the world through the Culture, Histories, and Innovations ” for the more than 140 countries that are expected to participate. Twenty million visitors are projected for this six month exposition which will include over 60 pavilions on more 270 acres of open parkland, all within the city limits of the City of Milan. While the main component of the fair is Food, major areas will include Culture, Technology, and the Sciences, representing a global laboratory designed to offer an exchange of ideas and solutions for improving the standard of living of peoples around the world particularly in Third World and Developing Countries through Communications and Education.
Tickets for the fair may be booked on-line or through a variety of travel channels in the U.S. and abroad. EXPLORA has been retained to coordinate the booking process. Visitors may choose a single 1-day,7-day, or a 10-day pass, whichever is most convenient. Further, discount tickets will be offered visitors to attractions inside the fair and throughout the region.
Major topics at the Expo will also include Biodiversity, Food Ecology, and the Sciences both on site, and through Social Media outlets.
The entire fairground will be enabled with WiFi and a downloadable app for Smartphone users which will provide detailed information about the fair.
Transportation hubs are being installed along with Hospitality kiosks throughout the fairgrounds for convenience.
