August 10-11 in Flushing Meadow-Corona Park, NYC.
188 teams with 2500 from the U.S., Canada and China participate. Colorful festival is rooted in Chinese tradition celebrating the life of 3rd century BC poet and political activist, Qu Yuan. On this hot, sunny weekend in the middle of summer, a riot of colors, banners, flags and carved figures appeared throughout the park. This is the largest and oldest contest of its kind in N.A. with both Men’s and Women’s divisions competing, the later holding with 25 teams.Witness
