UN Partnership to Preserve "Our World Heritage"
We are very excited about our partnership with the UN Foundation to raise awareness about UNESCO World Heritage sites, the World Heritage Alliance, Friends of World Heritage and sustainable tourism.
On one show each month Let’s Travel! will feature Spotlight on World Heritage on-air and online segments about one of the more than 800 World Heritage sites, the UN Foundation Global Sustainable Tourism Initiative and partners of the UN Foundation. We will also provide links to the various organizations, so listeners and website visitors can get involved and learn how to protect “our world heritage” through responsible tourism.
On the July 9th, on Let’s Travel! we introduced this partnership with Erika Harms, Executive Director for Sustainable Tourism, UN Foundation and Rochelle Roca Hachem, Programme Specialist for Culture, UNESCO. Our July 16 show includes interviews from our recent press trip to Zacatecas, Mexico, a World Heritage site.
