SCOTLAND-Land of the Loch Ness Monster

SCOTLAND is a special place for adventure travelers, whose love of
rugged terrain, bountiful lakes, high mountain peaks, world heritage sites,
and castles, more than 100 of them, in fact, along with hearthy food and fine aged spirits. It’s the land that Bobby Burns, its national poet and balladeer, made famous. Some of the offerings you’ll find in SCOTLAND this Summer and Fall include almost 300 cultural festivals. And if you’re a golfer, there’s St. Andrews, perhaps the world’s best known course
for both the amateur and professional
player.

If you have a fortnight to spare there’s the outer islands off the Scottish west and northwest coast.
For sheer adventure visit the Shetland Islands, Orkney, Argyll, Fife, Loch Loman or the Hebrides. There’s plenty to discover in these parts. You can also shop the Tartan colors, tweeds and wools in any of these locations. If it’s a good meal you crave
there’s plenty of fine seafood all around. And if Scotch Whisky is your call you can visit the purveyors themselves. Nearly 100 of them throughout the country. Take a tour or buy a fifth of the best of the best for a lot less than you would in the states.

Scotland claims 40 million of Scottish descent, 50 million inhabitants, 2 million visitors each year, 6000 miles of coastline and 99 inhabited islands.
In brief, there’s plenty to do and see in this ancient land where great kings once ruled, where the character of its people are so evident everywhere you go.

Anytime of year is worth a visit as there’s so much there.
